Mexican Insurance Store.com Continues to Outshine Alternative Mexican Auto Insurance-Buying Options

Mexican Insurance Store.com Continues to Outshine Alternative Mexican Auto Insurance-Buying Options

Mexican Auto Insurance by Mexican Insurance Store.com

Perris, CA (PRWEB) January 24, 2012

Mexican Insurance Store.com, the leading online source of Mexican auto insurance, continues to provide a viable alternative to buying coverage at the U.S.-Mexico border. The company recently announced that 2011 was its most successful year yet. 2012 is also already off to a record-breaking start for the online insurance provider. For years, the only place to buy car insurance was at the border, where shacks sold policies and didn’t face any competition. While Mexican Insurance Store isn’t the only online provider of Mexican auto insurance, it continues to be among the most popular and successful ones. “We’re tickled to learn that our sales are stronger than ever,” says Linden Gray, the president of Mexican Insurance Store. “Clearly, people vastly prefer to buy their insurance online than at the border.”

In 2011, Mexican Insurance Store made many important upgrades and changes to ensure its ongoing success. The company revamped its website and streamlined its online ordering process. “We are committed to making it as easy as possible for people to get the Mexican car insurance they need,” says one Mexican Insurance Store employee. “The border definitely isn’t the place to buy car insurance if you care about convenience, savings, and reliability.” In addition to having a streamlined ordering process, the Mexican Insurance Store website offers instant quotes that allow people to find the lowest possible rates for this type of coverage.

Another important change that Mexican Insurance Store.com made in 2011 revolved around social media. The company became active on popular sites like Facebook and Twitter. In doing so, it made itself more available to existing customers and prospective customers alike. “The response has been overwhelmingly positive,” notes the employee. “It’s another example of the superior level of service that we provide. At the border, you’re just not going to get that kind of care or attention. You’ll be lucky if you even end up with a halfway decent insurance policy, for that matter.”

In addition to drawing in many new customers, Mexican Insurance Store has been wildly successful in retaining existing ones. “I ordered Mexican auto insurance online for the first time last spring,” says one customer. “Fortunately, I bought it from Mexican Insurance Store. Prior to that, I’d been purchasing it at the border. When I discovered how much quicker, easier and cheaper it was to buy online, I knew I’d never buy it at the border again. I’m going back to Mexico in a few months, and I’ll definitely be purchasing my insurance online from Mexican Insurance Store.”

Mexican Insurance Store’s success doesn’t show any sign of slowing down. The company is hoping to snare even more of the business from the shacks that are lined up along the U.S.-Mexico border. “We’ve been giving those shacks a run for their money,” says Gray. “We fully intend to keep at it even more in 2012.” The company has not yet revealed any concrete plans for the upcoming months, but Gray promises that many additional upgrades are in store. “To stay on top, we have to continually offer new features, better prices and superior “A” Rated insurance,” he says. “We have no plans to quit doing that, and we’re excited to see how 2012 unfolds.”

Top Five Myths for Travel Insurance During Cruise Season, Warns Squaremouth

Top Five Myths for Travel Insurance During Cruise Season, Warns Squaremouth

Squaremouth

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (PRWEB) January 24, 2012

Having the right travel insurance to protect a cruise can mean the difference between a great trip and a financial crisis, warns Squaremouth.com, a site for comparing and purchasing travel insurance. “Many travelers fall into the trap of assuming they understand their policy’s coverage before thoroughly reading the certificate,” says Sarah Byrne, Marketing Manager at Squaremouth. “This can lead to travelers thinking they are covered for situations the policy actually doesn’t cover.” When comparing travel insurance policies travelers should review the top travel insurance myths to get the best protection and value.

Myth #1: I Need $ 1 Million in Medical Evacuation Coverage

Don’t waste your money. “Some policies offer several million dollars of evacuation coverage, however, it is rare for an evacuation to cost more than $ 100,000,” advises Chris Harvey, CEO of Squaremouth. “Don’t spend more for a policy thinking multi-million dollar coverage is necessary.”

Since the costs to medically transport someone can increase the further away they are from home, understanding how much medical evacuation is necessary could alleviate many potential financial burdens. Getting someone home from a resort within in the U.S. may only cost $ 20,000. At the other end of the scale, evacuating someone from a cruise ship in Antarctica to a hospital in Argentina, then to the United States, could total hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Squaremouth recommends choosing the amount of medical evacuation insurance based on the destination and type of trip. For example, $ 100,000 in evacuation coverage should be enough protection for a cruise to the Carribbean, however, travelers visiting Asia or Africa may want to consider a travel insurance policy with at least $ 250,000 in evacuation coverage.

Myth #2: The Insurance Provider Will Come Rescue Me From the Cruise

“Most people mistakenly believe medical evacuation coverage is a form of search and rescue, plucking injured hikers off of mountainsides or heart attack victims off cruise ships at sea,” says Chris Harvey, CEO of Squaremouth.

In most cases, local emergency services and the coast guard of the country where the person is injured are in charge of first response. In an emergency, it’s important to first dial the local equivalent of 9-1-1, then the travel insurance provider. However, if the travel insurance provider is the first to be called, they will coordinate local emergency services to make sure help is on the way.

Myth #3: Medical Evacuation Insurance Will Cover My Medical Treatment

Although medical evacuation insurance pays for everything from transportation to the nearest medical facility, to moving a victim to a different hospital for specialized care, to the return trip home, it doesn’t cover the cost of any medical treatment along the way.

“Evacuation providers, such as Medjet Assist and Air Ambulance don’t reimburse for things like an ambulance or medical treatment, so Emergency Medical coverage is still recommended,” advises Byrne.

Myth #4: I Can Choose Where I Want to Be Evacuated

Only to a degree. Victims or their family should call the travel insurance provider’s emergency assistance number as soon as reasonably possible. The emergency assistance team will be expected to be involved in all major medical and logistical decisions, including where treatment occurs. If specialized care or transport to another facility is needed, there are three parties involved in the decision: the insurance company, the treating physician and the policy holder.

If someone wants the option to choose where they will be treated, some travel insurance policies offer a Hospital of Choice upgrade. The Hospital of Choice benefit gives travelers the option to choose where they would like to be evacuated in the event of medical emergency. Travel Guard, Medjet Assist, Air Ambulance and Global Rescue all offer policies with the benefit.

Myth #5: The Travel Insurance Will Pay Up Front For My Medical Treatment

It’s not guaranteed. Many travelers are not aware that travel insurance policies are meant to be reimbursement policies

“Many travel insurance providers have the ability to arrange payment with medical providers overseas, but it is the treating facility’s decision as to whether or not they wish to work with you,” explains Suzanne Munson, Marketing Manager at Seven Corners, a travel insurance provider. “Be prepared to pay for your medical care upfront, and file a claim for reimbursement.”

Mexican Insurance Store.com Poised to have Record Year

Mexican Insurance Store.com Poised to have Record Year

Mexican Auto Insurance by Mexican Insurance Store.com

Perris, Calif. (PRWEB) January 18, 2012

Although the new year has only just begun, Mexican Insurance Store.com is already poised to meet and exceed all of its goals for 2012. The online Mexican insurance provider, which allows people to order their Mexican auto insurance policies on the Internet, made many significant upgrades and changes in 2011. With those changes, and with the changes that are expected to occur in 2012, the company is confident that it will have a record-breaking year. “We’ve managed to exceed our goals for the last several years,” says Linden Gray, the president of Mexican Insurance Store. “We don’t expect this year to be any different, and we’re looking forward to helping many new customers in 2012.”

Although the company has not released official records about the number of policies that it sold in 2011, that year was its most profitable one so far. The trend is expected to continue in 2012. A part of the reason that the company expects to have more sales than ever in 2012 is because of the upgrades that were made in 2011. “Last year, we upgraded our servers and gave our website a major face-lift,” says one longtime employee. Those changes made us a more appealing choice to a larger number of Mexico travelers, and they made it easier for people to get the Mexican car insurance policies that they need as quickly as possible.

Another major reason for Mexican Insurance Store’s high expectations for 2012 is its increased participation on social media and social networking sites. The company set up Twitter and Facebook accounts in 2011 and has been using them more and more frequently. The sites allow Mexican Insurance Store to stay in touch with existing customers and communicate with prospective customers. “We’ve had a lot of success with social media,” says the employee. “We were a little skeptical at first, of course, but the response has been overwhelmingly positive. We are going to ramp up our participation even more in the new year.

Many new customers came into the fold in 2011, and that trend is expected to continue in 2012 as well. “I’d never purchased Mexican auto insurance online until last year,” says one new customer. “A friend of mine recommended Mexican Insurance Store to me, so I decided to give it a whirl. I was really impressed with how quick, easy and streamlined the process was. On top of that, the car insurance for Mexico policy that I got was amazingly low in price. I saved a ton of money. I’ll definitely be back in 2012, and I’m going to recommend the site to my friends and family as well.”

Mexican Insurance Store is excited to break even more records in 2012. “We aren’t counting our chickens before they hatch, of course, but all signs indicate that we are in for an especially amazing year,” says Gray. “I’m convinced that our impeccable customer service is the main thing that keeps making our success grow. The site and the competitively priced Mexican auto insurance are major factors too, but you can’t fake superior customer service.” 2012 may be in its early stages, but Mexican Insurance Store is already working feverishly to make it a banner year. “We’re excited to reach out to new customers and to do a lot of repeat business as well.”

SGIO Testing Reveals New Head Restraints Cutting Chances of Whiplash

SGIO Testing Reveals New Head Restraints Cutting Chances of Whiplash

Perth, Western Australia (PRWEB) August 1, 2009

New car shoppers are less likely to suffer whiplash in a collision thanks to better-designed head restraints, testing by car insurance provider SGIO has revealed.

International research conducted and funded by a number of insurers, including SGIO in Australia, Thatcham Motor Insurance Research Centre in the UK and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in the USA, tested head restraint effectiveness in 148 new cars.

The 2009 results revealed seven out of ten new cars scored a rating of ‘good’ or ‘acceptable’, compared to just three out of ten five years ago, when testing began.

The dynamic part of the test included a simulated low speed (15km/h) rear-end collision using a human sized dummy. Further static testing took into consideration the height of the head restraint and its distance from the passenger’s head and the effectiveness of the surrounding cushion.

SGIO Head of Research Robert McDonald praised the improvements, but noted head restraints in nearly 30 per cent of new cars tested still rated as ‘marginal’ or ‘poor’, with commercial vehicles among the worst.

“Volvo and Saab are two manufacturers that have made significant improvements in head restraint design,” said Mr McDonald.

“Volvo, for example, has seats which support the driver or passengers’ entire back and head. In the event of a rear-end collision the back rest follows your movement forward to provide support as the body is thrown into a whiplash motion.”

The best performer of the locally produced cars was the Ford Falcon, with the FG model Falcon achieving a ‘good’ rating. This comes on the back of the Falcon’s five star ANCAP rating.

“Unfortunately, however, there does seem to be a trend to skip on safety features in commercial vehicles and this has been highlighted in our results. All three commercial vehicles which were tested fared poorly,” Mr McDonald said.

“Hopefully manufacturers that have performed poorly take these results into consideration and realise they can improve safety with better head restraint design for little additional cost.”

Mr McDonald said whiplash, often caused by poor head restraints, costs the Australian community hundreds of millions of dollars per year.* Only 19 per cent** of WA consumers make it their top consideration when choosing a car, although most rank it in their top three.

“Better head restraint design can certainly reduce the risk of a neck injuries occurring in car crashes. Passengers can also be proactive in adjusting the head restraint to suit their seating position,” said McDonald.

*Based on SGIO Car Insurance claims data

**Based on Woolcott Research, commissioned in February 2009 by SGIO

Tips for motorists with manual head restraints

Adjust the head restraint so the top of the restraint is above eye-level

Every driver is different, so check the head restraint every time you get in the car

Before turning on the ignition, adjust the seat, mirrors, seatbelt and head restraint.

Types of head restraints

Active – a head restraint or seat system that takes an active approach to injury prevention, designed to deploy automatically in the event of a collision

Automatic – a head restraint that automatically adjusts its position when the seat is adjusted by the occupants

Manual – a head restraint that is manually positioned to suit the passenger or driver.

December Online Auto Insurance News Wrap-Up

December Online Auto Insurance News Wrap-Up

Detroit, Mich. (PRWEB) December 31, 2011

New estimates of property/casualty insurers’ huge losses, sparring over the existence of coverage crises, hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines levied on insurers, rising overall claims costs, new State Farm rate changes and another round of Allstate non-renewal notices. The following summary sheet wraps up some of December’s most significant auto insurance news developments covered at News.OnlineAutoInsurance.com :

A.M. Best reported that property-casualty insurers were dealt an estimated $ 38.6 billion in pretax, total net losses during the first nine months of 2011. That’s almost double the total for all of 2010.
Massachusetts fined Progressive $ 125,000 for giving policyholders in that state the false impression that it had been using credit information to help set their rates.
GEICO will be paying Washington regulators a $ 100,000 fine and refunding customers in that state a total of $ 7.5 million after determining it had overcharged about 7 percent of its policyholders.
The Hartford announced it would be throwing its hat into the usage-based-coverage ring in 2012 with the introduction of TrueLane, a product that will work much like Progressive’s Snapshot.
Dueling reports were released regarding the extent of Florida’s no-fault problems. The state’s Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) released numbers showing that the frequency and severity of the state’s PIP claims have skyrocketed since 2006. But a detailed report from the Florida Consumer Action Network questioned the reliability of the OIR’s data and conclusions.
About 4,000 Arkansans received notice from Allstate that their homeowner policies would not be renewed if they failed to also purchase auto coverage from the company. Arkansas is at least the second state where Allstate policyholders have received such notices.
A report from a nationwide coalition of consumer advocacy groups alleged that property/casualty insurers have been and currently are overstating industrywide losses to justify raising policyholders’ rates.
The Michigan state Supreme Court ruled that one of the state’s resident’s Allstate car insurance policy does not cover her $ 433,000 injury that allegedly occurred while closing her car door one morning in December 2005.
The IRC released a new report showing insurer costs are being driven upward by an increase in the frequency of claims being filed.
State Farm said that it will be lowering rates for most car insurance policyholders in Illinois and Wisconsin, while some in Michigan will be seeing increases.

To get the full stories about these and other industry- and consumer-related news developments, readers should head to http://news.onlineautoinsurance.com/ to check out the only site on the Web devoted to publishing nothing but the latest news in the U.S. car coverage industry.

Norfolk’s Flux Babes Take RAF Marham By Storm

Norfolk’s Flux Babes Take RAF Marham By Storm

The Flux Babes at the RAF Marham Track Day

(Vocus) October 24, 2008

Norfolk’s Flux Babes stormed RAF Marham last week – though luckily for Her Majesty’s Armed Forces it was all in the name of charity.

The Babes – who work for Adrian Flux Insurance Services, East Winch, near Kings Lynn – were taking part in the airbase’s Top Gear-style track weekend, raising funds for charity.

They helped the base raise a whopping £14,000 which brings this years total to over £31,000 – and organisers Corporal George Denman and Flight Lieutenant Pete Norman reckon they’ll easily beat £14,000 at the next track day, due in April 2009.

“The Babes were incredibly popular and there’s been all sorts of chat in the car club online forums about them since the weekend – if they can be here in April this will almost certainly help us break our record of £25,000 in one weekend!” says Cpl Denman.

Flux got involved in the Track Day as a sponsor, helping to cover the running costs of the event. “We try to get companies like Flux to cover all our costs, so that every penny we raise can go into Marham’s charity ‘pot’,” explains Cpl Denman. “Being a specialist car insurance broker, Flux were an obvious choice for the event. They made a very generous donation and the Flux Babes coming along was a very popular addition!”

The money raised is distributed to various charities. Past recipients include the RAF Benevolent Fund, the Make A Wish Foundation, the East of England Air Ambulance and a host of other local charities.

Drivers pay £70 a day, or £120 for the weekend, to drive their cars to the limit on the airfield’s ‘track’. Marham has been running the event for three years and it has been gaining in popularity. Says Cpl Denman: “The reason it’s so popular is because of the relaxed atmosphere. Plus, because we are an operational station the track is very high quality. Supercars can get up to 200mph easily on the straight, while the tricky twisty sections are a real challenge for any driver.”

Another reason for the popularity is that RAF Marham is a wide open airfield – and the ‘track’ design ensures that if a car was to spin there would be very few obstacles to hit. On a past event one of the Evos came off the track at 183mph but there was no damage apart from a bit of grass in the wheels.

RAF Marham can host up to 320 cars a weekend and entry to the ‘Track’ is restricted to members of car owners clubs, which RAF Marham contacts via online forums. As Marham is a working airbase, entries are closed one month before the event and all entrants have to be security screened. For more information visit http://www.raf.mod.uk/rafmarham

Flux and the Flux Babes

The Flux Babes all work for Adrian Flux Insurance Services. Flux specialises in niche car markets such as classics, modified motors, high performance cars and pick-ups, covering vehicles and drivers that the standard insurers don’t like, for whatever reason. It also has a reputation for offering cheap car insurance deals. Consequently a lot of Flux’s customers are young adults, who (unsurprisingly) have a strong affinity for the Flux Babes.

Being a Flux Babe is a popular job as Jenny, one of the original Babes, explains: “It’s really good fun and, while we enjoy office work, it’s great to get out of the office occasionally and do something totally, totally different.”

The Flux Babes visit car shows, attend events and are involved in two or three photo shoots each year. For more information see http://www.fluxbabes.co.uk

The RAF Marham Track Weekend took place on 11 & 12 October 2008.
